Last week, I was invited to preview Kenneth Cole's new line, Kenneth Cole Collection. The preview was dark & moody and reminded me of the Met's Savage Beauty exhibit of Alexander McQueen. Lining the walls, huge projections of models walked from screen to screen offering dead-faced, one liners that only a model could do so well. The back wall, seen above, showcased men's and women's key pieces in oxblood, deep cobalt & black.
Point-y toe, python wedges in black
Hair-calf/leather oxford boots in deep cobalt
Perfect double-breasted coat with zipper detailing
The collection was incredibly luxe and refined, especially seen in fabrication. For women, hair-calf skirts & over the knee boots, python backpacks, sheer tops & peplums. For men, crocodile creepers, hair-calf oxford boots, sneakers & jackets, & leather pants. In a nutshell, I want the entire collection.
Kristen and I didn't get a chance to shoot that day so I took some quick Instagram's (landonmcgregor) of my outfit of the day. First, I was lucky enough to get my hands on a piece of the Kenneth Cole Collection- it is an amazing black leather envelope that has my initials in silver inside! I wore it with deep olive Levi's, a green sweater and this amazing striped shirt underneath. As the thread goes down each side of the stripes on the shirt, the thread changes colors. I didn't even notice this detail when I thrifted it a few weeks ago!
